28/45 EPA rating for the RWD car while the 4matic gets 27/42. Impressive for a midsize lux sedan. The 2.1 liter four-cylinder has 195hp 369lb-ft compared to the previous 3 liter V6 diesel's 210hp & 400lb.-ft. good for 35mpg. Hell, my 2012 Passat TDI is only rated 40mpg highway, although it regularly returns 44-45. Still, impressive.
Now, about this $60k sticker price...

And that face.... and profile...
But, 16 more highway mpg than my passat, with 5 more hp and.... 169 more torques? Yeah, just drop that price, I'm allllll there.

We'll see what they sell for as a 3 year old off-lease car. Maybe upgrade then?

Not a terrible idea. Still, though, after 3 years, German cars tend to shit the bed with repair bills.

I think actual base MSRP will be around 52K, which means you can probably get it for 10% less after negotiation - MB sticker prices for anything past 50K are notoriously optimistic. 60K would be a well equipped car. Low 50s will probably be a typical transaction price for an average car with P1 and little else.
I have a W212 E350 Bluetec, and am looking forward to trying the E250. W212 is a fairly reliable platform, and the powertrains should be bulletproof. I usually get past 40mpg highway in it, not bad as it is a bit of a small barge.

Yep, $51,400 base; just looked it up
